Michelle’s vision and dream of having her own music studio, where her passion for music and love for youth intersect, finally became true! Established in 1996, Just Lovin’ Music Studios, Inc. (JLMS) is making a positive social impact upon the lives of young people and instills self-confidence and knowledge in its students through music. After expanding to a non-profit corporation, where Michelle currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer, the organization works strongly towards their mission of “bringing the arts back to the schools” by educating numerous students in instrumental music from private and public schools throughout the Los Angeles and Inglewood areas. JLMS auditioned elementary school students, and formed its own 100-piece children’s orchestra, which debuted in their annual spring recital in May, 2002 at Los Angeles Southwest College. A highlight for Michelle was to travel to South Africa in 2004 where she took 125 instruments and enjoyed, with her strings director, exposing the children and youth of South Africa to instrumental music.

JLMS has served over 5,000 students by bringing music education to over 25 public and private schools. Just Lovin' Music Studios, Inc. is not a conventional educational source to simply provide music lessons. Countless opportunities for mentoring and counseling have given Michelle and her staff reason to pour into the lives of students and their families. Besides learning notes and theory, students learn grace and manners, along with gaining confidence and self-esteem. Numerous parents seek Michelle and her staff’s godly counsel in raising their children and advice on how to face their daily family challenges.

Michelle attended Azusa Pacific University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education, with an emphasis in Piano and Pipe Organ Performance, graduating Magna Cum Laude. Michelle received her Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential from California State University, Los Angeles. Her teaching career has spanned nearly 35 years in both public and private education.

To Michelle’s credit are 3 inspirational piano solo CDs of original songs, praise music, and hymns in varied styles (“My Tribute,” “Mine Eyes Have Seen His Glory,” & “His Eye is on the Sparrow”) and 1 Christmas classic CD (“The Gift”).

Michelle is privileged to present inspirational concerts, where she ministers God’s love as she worships and praises Him on the stringed instrument. She is frequently called upon to minister as a piano soloist and speaker at concerts, churches, conferences, seminar and workshops. Currently, residing in the Los Angeles area with her husband, Jimmy, of nearly 35 years she enjoys, in her spare time, long-distance biking, tennis, cooking, and of course, being with her grandchildren.
